Surveys

The Center conducts economic, social and political surveys, both on its own initiative and on behalf of public and private institutions. Some of the most recent surveys dealt with the following issues:

political and social beliefs as well as attitudes towards the government, the church and the police in Cyprus

the perceptions and attitudes of Greek and Turkish Cypriots towards each other

liberalization and privatization in the Cypriot economy

public perceptions of the civil service

the effectiveness of state and financial services and the role of the unions

Among the social themes surveyed by the Center were the spare time activities of young people. This was a study commissioned by the Cyprus Government Youth Board which intended to use it in a review of the range of services it provides.
