The Accession of Cyprus to the EU, the Solution of the Cyprus Problem and the Challenges for the Cypriot Economy

On November 26, 2003, at 6:00 p.m., the Research and Development Center – Intercollege organizes a roundtable discussion entitled “The Accession of Cyprus to the EU, the Solution of the Cyprus Problem and the Challenges for the Cypriot Economy”. The roundtable discussion will be addressed by Mr. Alexis Galanos, former President of the Cypriot House of Representatives, who will speak about “The Cypriot Economy: Myths and Realities”; by Mr. Afxentis Afxentiou, former Governor of Cypriot Central Bank, who will speak about “The Cypriot Economy and the EU”, and by Professor Andreas Theophanous, Professor of political economy, Director General of the Research and Development Center-Intercollege, who will speak about “The Cypriot Economy and the Expected Challenges”. The roundtable will be chaired by Mrs. Sofia Yiannakou, journalist.
