The Cyprus Issue to be Analyzed in Washington Forums

 

At the invitation of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington,

Professor Andreas Theophanous, Director General of the Research and Development Center –

Intercollege, will give a lecture on May 26th, entitled “A Solution to the Cyprus Problem: Future

Prospects and Consequences in the Region”. The Woodrow Wilson Center was founded in 1968

following a Congress decision to honor the former American President. It is engaged in the study

of US and world affairs and seeks to establish and maintain a lively, neutral forum for free and

informed dialogue.

 

Professor Theophanous will also be one of the speakers in the international conference Strategy

2005: The Global Strategic Forum, organized by The International Strategic Studies Association

on 25 – 27 May, also in Washington. The general theme of the conference is “The Revolution in

Strategic Affairs” and Professor Theophanous’ speech is entitled “The Cyprus Issue and the Consequences

for the EU, the US and the Broader Region”.
