Security Concerns in the Wider Mediterranean and Black Sea Regions

An important conference is organized by the International Center for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) and the Department of Mediterranean Studies of the University of Aegean, on “Security Concerns in the Wider Mediterranean and Black Sea Regions”.

The conference will take place in Rhodes on 15-16 June and will assemble academics, policy-makers, diplomats and analysts from several countries – Greece, Italy, France, Belgium, Israel, Turkey, Jordan, Syria, Russia, Georgia, Malta, and Cyprus. It will address issues of security and cooperation in the Mediterranean, the Middle East and the Black Sea Regions. Professor Andreas Theophanous of the Research Center – Intercollege will elaborate on the broader context of the Eastern Mediterranean including the Cyprus question and the wider implications.
