Symposium on "Turkey, the EU and the US: High Stakes, Uncertain Prospects"

 

The Research and Development Center - Intercollege and the Lyman L. Lemnitzer Center

for NATO and EU Studies are organising one of the most in depth reviews of Turkey ever

conducted in Cyprus.  On 13-14 May a panel of experts from Canada, Cyprus, Germany,

Greece, Israel, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK and the US will present, analyze

and debate the political, social and cultural make up of Turkey, its significance to the EU

and to the US, the broader regional security challenges in which it is implicated, the state

of its bilateral relations and the prospect of its accession to the EU.

 

A non-profit making institution, the Research and Development Center - Intercollege is

the leading think tank in Cyprus and serves as the forum for the most informed debates

on the issues that concern the European Union, the Eastern Mediterranean and Cyprus.

The Lyman L. Lemnitzer Center for NATO and EU Studies at Kent State University (USA)

devotes its activities to the expansion and dissemination of scholarly knowledge about

NATO, the European Union, and related European and American issues.

 

The Symposium will open at 16.15 hrs Friday 13 May.
